We want all of our users to feel comfortable with the check in process, so select your platform below for more specific guidance on checking in from your device:
Important Note: If you're experiencing issues with a specific charger, you should contact the charging location directly for support. If there is not more information on the charger itself, we have compiled a list of our more common charging networks and their contact details here: Network Support Details While we do our best at PlugShare to support our community whenever possible, PlugShare is not able to control or assist with issues at specific charging locations. Please be sure to leave a Check in whenever you have a negative experience, and feel free to leave edits or report details on the location's listing whenever possible. This is the best way for our community to stay informed of location issues before their next visit! |
Check in with Android
- Tap the Station Summary from the drawer view to open the full Station Details window
- Tap the floating blue "Check In" button located at the bottom of the screen
- Select the check in option that best describes your experience at the location (for more information on these options, review our Check in Best Practices)
- Confirm or provide any relevant details about your experience as prompted
- Enter an optional Comment to provide information to the location owner or other PlugShare users

Tap "Submit" on the top right of your screen to save your check in
- Important: If you have selected the check in status of "Charging Now" or "Waiting to Charge" on your mobile device, you must "Check Out" from the Station Details window in order to fully complete the check in process.
Check in with iOS (Apple)
- Tap the Station Summary icon from the drawer view to open the full Station Details window
- Tap the blue "Check In" button under the general location details
- Select the check in option which best describes your experience at the location (for more information on these options, review our Check in Best Practices)
- Confirm or provide any relevant details about your experience as prompted
- Enter an optional Comment to provide information to the location owner or other PlugShare users

Check in from the web (plugshare.com)
We always recommend that you check in while you charge. This saves you time later, and provides the fastest updates to the locations you visit. You can check in on the web as well:
- Search for the location where you want to leave a check in or select the location's Station Summary icon on the PlugShare map to open the full Station Details window
- Click the green "Check In" button next to the location name
- A pop up will provide options for you to confirm your experience
- Provide additional (optional) details based on your experience:
- Comment: Opportunity to review or provide helpful tips for the location
- Vehicle: Confirm the vehicle you charged; the vehicle list is based on the saved vehicles in your PlugShare account
- Max kilowatts/amps/volts used during your session
- Click "Check In" to save and publish your check in on the PlugShare map
