Recover or Change Your Password

A lot of login trouble starts here. Many drivers don't realize they originally signed up with Google or Apple rather than an email and password. Find your account type below:

Step 1 How did you create your PlugShare account?

I signed up with Google

Your Google account is your login. Head to the sign-in screen, tap "Continue with Google," and you're in.

 

I signed up with Apple

Your Apple ID is your login. Head to the sign-in screen, tap "Continue with Apple," and you're in.

 

I signed up with my email address

You're in the right place. Continue below to reset your password.

 
Not sure how you signed up? Try "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" on the login screen. If either one works, that's your account. No password reset needed.
 

 

Step 2 Reset your PlugShare password

For email/password accounts only.

Your new password needs at least 8 characters, including one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.

 

Choose your platform:

Mobile (iOS & Android)
  1. Tap Me in the bottom navigation bar
  2. Tap "Sign in or sign up today"
  3. Tap "Already a member? Sign in," then "Forgot Password"
  4. Enter the email address linked to your account and tap Submit
  5. Check your inbox for an email from noreply@plugshare.com with the subject "Reset your Password." If you don't see it, check your spam or junk folder
  6. In the email, click "Reset Your Password" or enter the 6-digit code into the app
  7. Enter and confirm your new password, then tap Submit
 
Web (plugshare.com)
  1. Click Login in the top right corner
  2. In the login window, click "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter the email address linked to your account and click Submit
  4. Check your inbox for an email from noreply@plugshare.com with the subject "Reset your Password." If you don't see it, check your spam or junk folder
  5. In the email, click "Reset Your Password" or enter the 6-digit code into the pop-up
  6. Enter and confirm your new password, then click Submit
  7. PlugShare signs you in automatically
 

 

Didn't receive a reset email?

If you signed up with Google or Apple, there's no PlugShare password to reset, so no email will arrive. Head back to the sign-in screen and try "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" instead.
