If you find a location where the details are out of date or incorrect, we encourage you to make the change! Many charging locations will have an "Edit" option within the full Station Details window. After you are logged into your PlugShare account, you can either make edits to the listing directly or report any changes to the PlugShare team.

When making any location edits, please provide the most accurate details possible. Our editorial team will review any edits, but remember that this data will be seen by other PlugShare community members who view the location.
The "Report Inaccuracy" button
Within an editable location, you may see that certain details (like the cost to charge) are not editable. You may also want to request that the location be deleted altogether. In these instances, you can use the "Report Inaccuracy" button at the bottom of the Edit page. When you select it, a pop-up window will ask you to provide further details. Please provide some specifics for our editorial team on what you were unable to edit, and they will review your request and ensure the details are verified and updated as soon as possible.
Why are some locations un-editable?Some locations are locked from public editing at the request of the charging network that operates the location, the business owner or property manager, or because the information has been verified. For these locations, you will see a "Report" button rather than the "Edit" button. We still rely on our community to ensure all locations remain up-to-date, so we encourage you to use this option! When you select the "Report" button, you can provide details on the edits and send the request directly to our editorial team, who will verify the edits and update as needed. |
Edit a Public Charging Location on Android
- Tap the Station Summary from the mini pop up window to open the full Station Details window
- Select "Edit" from the bluer icon options under "Check In"
- If the location is locked for editing, you will see a "Report" button and "Edit" will not appear
- A "Report Inaccuracy" window may appear where you can submit your adjustment
- All editable details will appear on the "Edit" page for you to make adjustments to the appropriate fields
- If the field is not available or the location should be deleted, select "Report Inaccuracy" and provide information of the changes to be made
- Tap "Submit" to the top right of the editing page to save your changes
Edit a Public Charging Location on iOS (Apple)
- Tap the Station Summary from the mini pop up window to open the full Station Details window

- Open the full Station Details window via search or by tapping the Station Summary icon from the PlugShare map
- Select "Edit" within the Station Details window
- If the location is locked for editing, you will see a "Report" button in place of "Edit"
- Make any adjustments to the appropriate fields in the "Edit Location" pop up
- If the field is not available or the location should be deleted, select "Report Inaccuracy" at the bottom of the "Edit Location" window
- Click "Update" at the bottom of the "Edit Location" page to save your changes
